SCHADOC is MSCA doctoral program Co-funded by Europe, Région PACA and AMIDEX.
SCHADOC will recruit 40 students over two calls (20 in 2025, 20 in 2026), to develop their doctoral training for 3 years.
4 research axes broad enough to be tackled by several scientific disciplines and AMU institutes:
➢ Societies and culture
➢ Climate change and environmental challenges
➢ Health and well-being
➢ Artificial Intelligence and its applications
The triple I dimension :
Interdisciplinarity: Two PhD supervisors from two different disciplines
Intersectorality: A socio-economic or cultural partner
Internationality: A mandatory secondment with an international partner, especially CIVIS.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates
▪ Not to be in possession of a doctorate;
▪ Have less than 4 years of full-time research experience at the call deadline.
▪ Have spend less than 12 months in France during the 36 months preceding the call deadline;
▪ Be, at the time of recruitment, in possession of the master degree or equivalent diploma
Main director of thesis
▪ Be affiliated to a doctoral school of AMU
▪ Be empowered to supervise PhD students International
▪ No criteria for the international partner and the nationality of the candidate
Agenda
Research proposals can be submitted by the PhD candidate (Bottom-up) or by the supervisor (Top-down)
Dec. 2nd, 2024 – Jan. 13th, 2025: Call for the Bottom-up proposals by the master students (stage 0)
Jan. 6th, 2025 – Feb. 10th, 2025: Call for the top-down proposals by the supervisors (stage 1)
March 3rd, 2025 – April 21st, 2025: Call for candidates for the selected top-down proposals (stage 2)
May 5th, 2025 – June 20th, 2025: Interviews and selection of the candidates (stage 3)
October 1st, 2025: Beginning of the PhD thesis
